A Look Inside the Cosmos S

Looking at all of the aluminum used of the Cosmos S makes you quickly realize how nice of a case the Cooler Master Cosmos S really is.  To give you some idea of how much room you will have to work in if you decide to purchase one of these bad boys.  The opening size from the bottom of the case up to the cross-member support beam is 15.5", while the size from the drive tower to the rear opening of the the case is 14.5"

One thing that might be kind of confusing once you get inside the case is the fact that you have a total ten drive bay covers on the outside of the case , while looking at things from inside of the case you can see that it only has a total eight drive locks on the drive cage tower.  The reason for that is the fact that a drive cage is set inside of drive tower so that you can install hard drives in the the smaller cage.

Since the power supply is mounted in the base if the case it is necessary to have some means by which a to ventilate the power supply and that is why Cooler Master has added a very nice filter system to the bottom of this location.  Directly in front of the power supply vent you can see that holes are in place to add another 120mm fan to help pull fresah air into the bottom of the case so that it can be passed through the case before it is expelled out the top of the case.

With the side-panel reversed we can better see the 200x230x30mm fan that is going to very beneficial in helping keep our temperatures at a safe level.
