If you have more than one computer how do you share your files and music with the other computer? In my house we have a total of four computers, there is a My Computer, Her Computer, Graphics Computer and TV Computer. Sure we could share all of our files by simply using network sharing for all of the computers, but that tends to leave your system wide open for intruders. What we have chosen to do is to install a Dual Bay Network Storage Enclosure.
The one in particular is the D-Link DNS-323, this two bay device will hold two SATA hard drive which can then be used for share documents, files, and digital media such as music, photos, and video with everyone on your home or office network. With the built-in FTP server, you can access your files remotely over the Internet from anywhere in the world and keep data safe by only giving rights to specific users or groups. When configuring the DNS-323, you can create users and groups and assign them to folders with either read or read/write permissions.
