I'll give Logisys credit for the design of their
shipping carton, knowing they are not operating on a budget as large
as bigger named power supply companies they still came up with a
design that has eye-appeal and conveys to the buyer the sense of icy
surroundings one would associate with a Glacier.
I like the use of the neon green color on the Power Switch and the Power
Connector to provide a very nice contrasting color to rear of the power supply
and it makes the chrome of the fan grill and Variable Speed Knob standout even
more.
Located next to the On/Off switch is Variable Speed
control knob that allows you to adjust the speed of fans allowing you to decide
between quite and warm or noisy and cool.
Here we see the second 80mm fan mounted in the front of PSU,
this fan just like the one mounted in the rear is speed adjustable via the
potentiometer mounted on the rear of the power supply.
The Glacier is mixed-breed power supply, by that I mean it
is made up of half Lucite and the other half is aluminum. One of the benefit of
this construction is the fact that you do not need to remove anything to get a
look inside the power supply. Clearly visible are the dual 80mm fans along
with the two medium sized heatsinks.
