INTRODUCTION

As more computers are asked to serve a dual role as a part of a home entertainment system it's not enough that your computer just have a case anymore, it has to have a look that will blend in with the surroundings plus blend in with the other equipment that it will be working with and most importantly one that your wife will approve of it.  But that is not all there is to worry about either a case can look good but if that case doesn't have good ventilation you run the risk of damaging your processor or worse yet your entire system.

Then there is the power supply, perhaps the single most important part of the system next to the motherboard.  Since most Mini-ITX cases come with their own power supplies this is another thing one needs to be aware of, how many watts is that external brick capable of producing once it's plugged in? If you use the on-board video and nothing else just about any brick will suffice but what happen when you use that extra PCI slot with a riser card and slap a full sized hard drive into your new case and start watching some 2-Disc DVD movie? I for one don't want a cheap power supply operating my system and I bet you won't either.

That brings us to the case we are reviewing today - the Silverstone LC09 fondly known in some circles as the 'Piano Master' due to the distinct shape of the case.  When we review it we will be looking at some of the things we mentioned above, cooling, power supply and perhaps the one that is most important of them all, how will it fit in. So without further ado let's see what the under the lid shall we?
