Introduction

If you have been into computers for any length of time I am sure you have had the experience of having either a bad power supply or one that is in the process of failing.  Unless you have had a massive head injury of sorts then you can remember the pain in arse that one of these under voltage power supplies can cause you.  There are the re-starts that always happen just before you thought of saving that document or at the point where you have just finished the most challenging part of that new game and you haven't saved you accomplishment yet.

Or thing about the times you tried to overclock the new system you just built and you every last penny on all of the parts and you find out the system will only overclock 25 MHz before the system does the crappy restart again.  This is usually about the time all of your friends find out the power supply you purchase and now they are laughing at you and saying with a smirk " good luck with that POS power supply, you are really going to need it man!"
