INTRODUCTION

There has never been a time when a power supply was more important in a computer than it is today with the high current draws from not only the processor but today's high power video card one will be poorly served unless they purchase a known quality power supply from their supplier.  Using my system as an example I need a power supply that can power my motherboard (DFI NF4 SLI), high end video card (HIS Tech X850XL, two Gigs of Crucial PC3200 Ballistic memory, and final a Sony DVD player and BenQ DVD Re-Writer.  With all of those components that are known to draw excessive current you can also begin to see why a power supply with a single 12-volt line is not an ideal choice for my computer.

The power supply we are reviewing today falls under the new ATX 2.01 guidelines which if you haven't read before you should take a moment to read especially if you are planning on purchasing a new power supply in the immediate future.  After reading thought the guidelines you will see why this type of power supply is is a far better choice for my setup than say 600 watt ATX 1.0 power supply. So lets see how well Aerocool's first attempt at a power supply turns out in our testing.
