Introduction
Coolmax is a name I have known for quite some time since I am
running one of the fanless power supplies in my sons computer that
is our family room and we wanted the machine to be quiet as
possible. They have also may a name for themselves selling such
things as heatsinks, fans and lighting accessories to name just a
few so they are no new comer when it comes to computer parts.
The CXI-500B power supply we are reviewing today is designed to
meet the new ATX 2.0 standards which means it has the 24-pin power
connector as well as dual and separate 12 volt lines which help
considerably in being able to divide the 12 volt lad across the two
lines so that one side is not being sucked trying from all of the
items being connected to it.
