Remember when Sony's Walkman first started appearing on the streets, in a matter of a few short months you could hardly walk anywhere without seeing 1/3 of the population with headphones on. If you are the type of person that is constantly afraid of talking to someone you were probably giddy with excitement as the conversation level dropped on bus and trains to record lows.

Thankfully that fad went the way of the pet rock and a few decades later we were once again greeted to people wearing hearing devices in gyms, on bikes, running on path or just about any place where you want to enjoy music.  Yes I am referring to the invention of the MP3 player.  So who do we blame for the assault on humanity by the MP3 player?  Most people will claim that the very first MP3 player was the Diamond Multimedia Rio PMP300, if you agree your as wrong as they are.  The very first MP3 player was made by the Korean company Saehan and the mass produced item was called the MPMan.  Thought it was released in the US in the summer of 1998 under the name of Eiger Labs MPMan F10 and F20.  I'll take MP3 Players for $500.00 Alec.
