A Closer Look

The True Power Quattro 1000 uses what is called the "TPQ Cabling" to get power to your motherboard and all of your accessories.  The wires that are connected to the power supply and can not be removed are the 20/24-pin power cord, the 2 - PCI-e power cords, one 8-pin connector and a 4-pin connector.

Located at the rear of the power supply we have the 80mm fan and the black fan guard. Next to it is the it is A C power connector. As well as the On/Off rocker switch.

Here you can see the placard that shows the current that the power supply is capable of providing. Looking at it, we can see that it is capable of providing 18 amps on all 4- 12 volt rails.  30amps on the +5v rail and 25 amps on the +3.3 volt rail.

On the front of the power supply you will find five 6-pin connectors, two of them are red in color and the other three are black.  The two red ones are solely for PCI-e cable connections, while the three other ones are used for attaching the various Molex and SATA cable to the power supply.
