Located towards the front of the case we have our accessory panel where we
will find our audio connectors, FireWire and USB connectors along with the Power and Rest buttons.
Directly behind these controls you will find a shallow compartment that you
can used to store things ranging from CD's to audio connector cables.
Also included with the Nine Hundred is slide-in
drive 3.5" assembly just in case you care to install a floppy drive,
two packages of hardware (screws, stand, offs) and a rubber matter to
drop into the tray opening on the top of the case.
Looking at the Antec Nine Hundred you can see
that it actually has a great deal of room but that does not mean
that it does not have it's faults as well. Using the GIGABYTE
GA-965P-DQ6 motherboard it just seemed that every plug-in on the
motherboard was
located in the wrong place and it meant routing the wiring across
the surface of the motherboard and causing even more clutter that
what was normally acceptable. This was made even worse by the
fact that the power supply being placed at the very bottom of the
case.
Even though the second side-panel is removable it
is of very little use when it come to hiding wire looms or cables.
Antec chose not to go the route of the tool-less
case and I have to say that I am not disappointed by this
decision. To start with when it comes to installing video
card, especially the kind that takes up 2 slots, the need to be able
to screw them into the case itself far surpasses the tool-less
feature
It should be mentioned that all of the fans supplied on
the case have Molex connector on them along with a 3-position slide switch
that you can used to adjust the speed of the fans from Low - medium - fast.
