The b-cool
80mm fan is truly a one of a kind
device, beside being a very well build fan which is build around a
translucent blue frame the b-cool
also provides a feature never before seen in the lab as far as fans go.
That is the ability to display the ambient air temperature with LEDs
built into the fan. If you look closing at the above picture you
can see the miniature LEDs that are attached to the cross bar
that runs from NW to SE on the fan.
Two other things worth mentioning are the extra long length 3 wire
connector wire so you can either connect it to a header on your
motherboard or directly to your power supply and the matching fan guard
which will insure that no wires or small fingers enter the fan while it
is in operation.
The b-coolfan rotates at
approximately 2200 rpm and after reaching its maximum speed the LEDs that
display the temperature magically appear. Then to insure you can read
the temperature the word "Cool"
and the "Temperature" slowly
rotate around the fan. The colors are bright and vivid and will
definitely add a wow factor to any case that they are installed in. I
give Bluegears Inc. and +10 score for this little beauty not only for its
dead sexy good looks but for the innovative idea of coming up with a fan
with such a cool built in feature.
