Since blue happens to be my favor color I immediately fell in love with
Bluegears Blue-Ice 120mm fan,
as a matter of fact it is similar in color to the new Saturn Vue Redline
Edition I just purchased. The Blue-Ice
is built on a very solid frame and thanks to the special
design of the frame the use of extra cross supports running to the
center of the fan to support the motor are not need thus creating a
clearer air pathway.
Each fan has seven fins per fan and with the extreme pitch of the blades
they are able to create more air. So what we have is an extremely
quiet fan that operates at approximately 1800 RPM and pushes
approximately 63.50 CFM which is slightly above average for a fan of
this size.
The B-Ice just like the
B-Cool comes with an extra long power cable with a
Molex connector attached to the end of it due to the fact that a fan of this
size will draw to much current to be mounted directly to a motherboard
header.
With the B-Ice installed you can
clearly see that it lights things up quiet nicely and provides the entire
case with a soft blue lighting effect which for me is absolutely perfect.
Whether it be the 80mm B-Cool
with its unique ability to read the temperature of the air passing through
the fan or 120mm B-Ice,
either one of these fans would be a welcome addition to your gaming case and
it is sure to add a bit more 'Wow Factor" to your already dream system.
A special thanks to Bluegears
