A Closer Look
Looking at the MX-3200 keyboard you can see that it is a
full-size keyboard that has a built in numeric keypad with it which is something
that I always look for in a good keyboard. The other thing you can see is
that the keyboard has a build-in padded wrist rest. It's the small
attention to detail that make Logitech keyboards the choice of so many gamers
and office workers.

One of the coolest features of the MX3200 keyboard happens to
be one you can't even see with your naked eye, since our hands are like little
Petri dishes with all kinds of fungus and molds growing on them the common
keyboard is going to have the mass of organisms living on it. Unless you happen
to be total neat freak that wipes everything down with alcohol wipes there has
to be a better way and Logitech has come up with it. By using a something
called AgION™ antimicrobial technology, both the
keyboard and mouse incorporate the AgION™ antimicrobial compound, providing
protection to prevent the growth of a broad range of bacteria, mold and mildew.

Search Controls
We are going to start by looking at the group of controls
that are located on the left-hand side of the keyboard, after using the keyboard
for almost two weeks now I find that I am using these controls far more than I
had expected I would and I would image it will be the same way with anyone that
tries them and see how handy they are to work with.
What this group of controls actually are is a means for you
to search for words, titles, subject or whatever using either the Worldwide Web,
your computer or your pictures. The top control with the (WWW) is pretty
self-explanatory) since we know that it means the world wide web.
The next control is used to perform a PC search, if you
happen to have Yahoo!® Desktop Search, Google® Desktop
or MSN® and Windows Desktop Search installed on your
system you can configure the program to open up when this button is pressed and
it will then allow you to perform a search of your entire system.

You can see in the picture a narrow
strip that is on the left side of the buttons and what this is is the Dynamic
Zoom, say you're looking at a web page and you want to look at it in closer
detail. Just swipe your finger in a upward movement across the strip and
watch the text increase in size. This is one very sweet feature.
The "PIC" button simply opens your "My Picture" folder
and allows you to search in that folder for any file or photo you might be
looking for.
The "X" closes whatever document you currently have open.
The last button which looks like a pair of file folders is
called "Document Flip", personally I think the name is rather confusing
since nothing really gets flipped. All it does is allows you to directly choose
which program you want to go to from a group by bringing up a menu of sorts.
