I was reading a post in a forum the other night that made me laugh because this poor fellow kept asking why his system was unstable when he had so few components in it.  All he had in his system were a pair of DVD burners, a dual core processors, 12 case fans a water cooling system and X850XT Platinum video card and 3 Cold cathode light displays and powered by the power supply that came with his $70.00 case. 

Everyone told him to get a new power supply but he insisted the power supply was not at fault since it was new and there was not that much in his system so it must be one of the other components that was causing the problem.  The last I saw he was about to return his video card thinking that was the problem.

Perhaps someday everyone will realize just how important a good power supply is to the stability of their system and then posts in forums like the one above will go completely away.
