The Titan Eagle Universal VGA
Cooler surprised in a number of ways, first off
with the ease with which it can be installed and
then how stable it is. Secondly how well
built the unit is, this is not a cheap unit -
the parts are top quality and that fit the way
they are suppose to fit right down to the point
of installing it on to your favorite video card.
The third third thing is performance, no we
didn't place the Eagle on the fanciest card we
had in the shop, but we will leave that to the
other sites, we wanted to show the average Joe
or Jane how much of a difference an add-on card
can make to an ordinary video card and actually
turn it into a darn good looking unit when your
all said and down.
As far as overclocking goes
the X300 is rated comes from the factory at
400/325 MHz and with the passive heatsink I had
been able to increase each setting about 50 MHz
each before artifacts started flying madly
about. With the Titan Eagle installed the
X300 which is known to be an aggressive little
overclocker really began to come into its own.
We were able to increase the memory to 485 MHz
and the core to 415 MHz which is an amazing
overclock for what is considered a low-end video
card. All of this is possible in part to
cooling the Titan Eagle Universal VGA Cooler.
As a final note I should mention that the fan on
the Titan Eagle is perhaps one of the quietest
fans we have had the pleasure to work with, at
23 db it can barely be heard outside of the
case. If you need a
replacement cooler for you video card and want
one that looks nice and performs well, then give
the Titan Eagle a shot. I don't think you can go
wrong with cooler as far as using it on a video
card that isn't going to be ran to the limits,
then you would of course want to consider using
water. Check this bad boy out you won't be sorry.
