The memory we are evaluating
today is Corsair's new TwinX 2048-4000PT, 2 GB of
memory specially designed for those wanting the
absolute fastest possible memory for use in their
Intel based motherboard. The reason Corsair
has gone to two gigabyte modules is quite simple to
understand. With today's games, graphics and
CAD programs all demanding more memory, one gigabyte
of memory was just not enough to get by with
anymore. Remember when Bill Gates said "640
kilobytes of memory would be the most memory anyone
would ever need"? Even he was wrong on the
subject of how much memory today's system need.
Today as we evaluate the TwinX 2048-4000PT we are
going to approach it from a slightly different angle
as we load it into an Socket 939 AMD64 motherboard
and run it through it paces there. |
